Songfest, a NATS Vancouver tradition for over 20 years, is a singing festival that is open to students of all Vancouver area teachers. Performers of all ages, levels, and styles are warmly invited to perform in this festival where they will hear their peers, listen to some excellent repertoire, and receive feedback from expert adjudicators. Students will receive marks and deserving performances may receive a small scholarship award at the discretion of the adjudicator. The focus of this festival is performance experience, learning, and camaraderie.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the limitations of the COVID 19 pandemic, Songfest 2021 will be conducted virtually. As such, please review the rules and regulations in the Syllabus posted below carefully for changes to requirements from previous years.

SONGFEST RULES AMENDMENT: The original rules stated that the submissions must be one continuous video. As of February 21, 2021, we are amending this rule and we will accept video submissions for one class where multiple video recordings have been combined into one YouTube link. The songs should still be recorded on the same day, in the same environment, and under the same circumstances (costume changes are permitted). Only one YouTube link will be accepted for each class.
