(Corner of W 10th and Yukon).  \n\nGuest Speaker:   Ms Sandra Head\nTopic:  “Teaching Honest Acting in the Context of a Song”.  \nAs teachers\, we all would like our students to be able to communicate the text in their songs more effectively.  Ms Head will focus not just on general ideas but the specific of the text.  Whether it is classical repertoire\, musical theatre\, jazz or pop\, most students seem to need to be better communicators\, engaging in what might be called “ honest acting.”  Some ideas to be discussed are choice of repertoire\, using verbs\, seeing imagery and what to do when the song demands that I not sing for a bar or two.\n
